Elul for Mommies
Share
Elul comes, and as mothers, our hands are so full.
Back-to-school shopping, soothing fears, planning schedules, trying to get bedtime routines back in place—and for some, the juggling of new babies on top of it all. How can we possibly find quiet time to reflect on what Elul means, or even sit down for a shiur, when life feels like a constant swirl?
But the truth is—Hashem is always in the field with us. He doesn’t expect us to drop everything and do something completely different. He knows exactly what our days look like. After all, He entrusted us with the most precious task of all: raising these amazing little people.
So maybe our avodah this Elul is simpler. Maybe it’s just taking a moment, in the middle of the chaos, to pause. To look at those tiny fingers and toes, the chubby cheeks, the wide, wondering eyes, the hugs that sometimes feel too many but are never enough—and whisper, Thank You.
Thank You for the ups. Thank You for the downs. Thank You for the gift of being their everything.
This Elul, let’s make our connection to Hashem through appreciation. By seeing the blessing in the small moments, we bring Him into our every day—building a bond stronger than ever.
