Toilet Training at Night

I can’t believe it worked!

Almost a month of getting up at night and changing sheets and pj’s and sometimes 3x a night and it finally clicked, and he’s been dry for 3 nights in a row AND sleeping through the night!

Here’s how it started.

On Succos, second days, the first night… was ofc a late one. I went at 1:30AM to take my son to his bed because he had fallen asleep on the couch.

To my surprise he was dry!!

I decided right then that I was going to start night training. Im up anyways a bunch of times at night with the baby so nu… if im gna be tired let me do it now!

One genius hack I saw online was getting doggie pee pads and putting them under the sheets to protect the mattress.

I can’t really explain why that made life so much easier it JUST DID. I think because first of all it WORKED. It absorbed the pee so the bed was dry and the sheet not as soaked

Second of all putting on fitted sheets is a pain, and when you have the mattress protector then there are TWO sheets to put on! (Ive done this before lol. Couldn’t you tell??)

Anyways… basically every night he would wake up and wet or not I sent him to the bathroom.

Also to note… he was also ready.

I explained to him that his body just needs to learn to hold it in. Its not his fault if he has an accident. There were many nights where he was super frustrated.

Then 3 nights ago.. i woke up 6am, and he was still sleeping! He wakes up and Im surprised. He’s dry!!!

Hurray hurray!!!

Now I can get some sleep.

Oh right. Not yet. 3 month old 🤣🤣❤️❤️
